The USAF™ cavitating ultrasonic transmitters from Ultramins treat the water 24 hours a day. The technology causes controlled cavitation in the water, thereby helping to greatly reduce algae, biofilm and microbiological load. The transmitters are applicable at any stage of water treatment; basins, drains (dirty/clean) and daily supply silos.
The difference from regular ultrasound is important: Ultramins uses cavitation ultrasound, creating microscopic cavitation pressure waves in the water that mechanically rupture the cell wall of a micro-organism, causing it to die. As a result, this focuses not only on algae, but on a structurally cleaner water system, which also includes fungi, bacteria and even moulds.
