Experience with Ultramins and USAF™ transmitters in our strawberry crop

We grow strawberries on substrate and in recent years had to deal with persistent blockages in our filters and pipes, caused by excessive algae growth in our basin.

After a visit from Ultramins, in which their product and operation were clearly explained, we decided - after careful calculation - to install the USAF™ DT100 transmitters. Ultramins supported us in this and the installation was very easy, as promised.

In our basin of approximately 6,000 m² (approx. 30,000m3) we have three cavitating transmitters posted. Since then, we have been fully freed from algae growth, and also the biofilm along the walls, this can be clearly seen in the photos. The results exceed our expectations; the system works efficiently and requires hardly any maintenance.
