Bell pepper grower invested in water quality: “Healthy roots and higher production all year round”
In photos, Florain highlights how much root quality has improved. “We’ve been able to completely eliminate the use of synthetic agents because we haven’t had any problems with pathogens. This transition has reduced our cost per square meter by more than 40–50%. The return on investment was less than six months, which is surprisingly short, especially compared to other investments.”

Under the orange buoys hang the USAF™ cavitating ultrasonic transmitters.
No-brainer
For the bell pepper grower, it was a no-brainer, he believes that others should also invest in USAF™ DT-100 transmitters from distributor Ultramins. Initially skeptical, he opted to use the transmitters only in the pond from which the grower draws water. Soon, two transmitters for silos and five transmitters for the daily supply followed. Regular 35% hydrogen peroxide is also added to the daily supply. The growers don’t use any other disinfection methods or agents.
“It streamlines irrigation, increases performance, and simply makes growing easier. I practically don’t have to worry about my irrigation water anymore. We also recycle 100% of our water, which is only possible when we are completely certain the water is clean, and it is!”
Florain shares his latest water analysis report from A&L Laboratories to put this into figures. “DNA sequencing tests of the same water samples showed high levels of Fusarium and Pythium, so we know for 100% sure that these transmitters are highly effective in eliminating all pathogens in our water.” (See chart below)

Below are two photos of what the roots looked like at different points during cultivation. The pepper propagator is pleased to note that the roots were in good condition throughout the entire growing season.
